HE SAW ME
I was walking astray and wandering in the darkness,
Blinded by the world’s riches and grandeur of the world.
Little did I know that I was digging my own grave,
Lost in the lust of flesh and pride of life.
Now, caught in the devil’s clutches, I was gasping for breath,
When I remembered the Man on the Cross.
He called me ‘daughter’, when I least deserved to be loved,
And said, ‘’You are MINE’’.
When I remembered the Man on the Cross.
He called me ‘daughter’, when I least deserved to be loved,
And said, ‘’You are MINE’’.
The journey back was quite difficult, but not futile.
For he ran towards me as I came into His view,
Welcomed me back whole heartedly
And covered me with His eternal love and peace.
For he ran towards me as I came into His view,
Welcomed me back whole heartedly
And covered me with His eternal love and peace.
He healed my wounds one by one,
Told me stories of His valour and might.
Assured me his protection day and night,
Taught me to walk in His path.
Told me stories of His valour and might.
Assured me his protection day and night,
Taught me to walk in His path.
Now, I am in Him and He is in me,
The past has passed away and everything has become new.
I take refuge under His wings,
His truth is my shield and buckler.
The past has passed away and everything has become new.
I take refuge under His wings,
His truth is my shield and buckler.
Neither am I afraid of the terror by night nor the arrow that flies by day,
For, everything that is above me is still below His feet.
I will call upon Him and He will answer me,
He who keeps me will not slumber.
For, everything that is above me is still below His feet.
I will call upon Him and He will answer me,
He who keeps me will not slumber.
His will is my sole desire,
And I thirst to be filled with the living water.
I shall seek His kingdom and righteousness,
And surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me,
All the days of my life.
And I thirst to be filled with the living water.
I shall seek His kingdom and righteousness,
And surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me,
All the days of my life.
